Kids love creepy crawlies and exploring the great outdoors, so it is important that they are aware of ticks and the risks they pose.

A range of age-related materials to be used in educational settings has been created to help highlight the facts about tick bites to pupils / students in a fun and engaging way. We have three age groups for you to choose from which may be mixed and matched to suit all your educational needs. See our downloads section for the full range.

Ages 4-11

Capture the children’s imagination with our child-friendly viral presentation, complete with humorously gruesome screams and images of ticks, which demonstrates in a fun and friendly way what the children need to know. Download our 'Make Tommy Tick' craft project, Top 10 Tick Facts, Activity sheet, Ray’s top 10 tips from survival expert and BADA-UK Patron, Ray Mears and our information leaflet for parents.

Our beautiful children’s book "Jack, Scruffy and the ticks" is also available FREE to schools, along with a supply of 'I'm Tick Aware' stickers for pupils. Follow the gentle story of Jack and his dog, Scruffy, who love to play in the garden. This book teaches children what ticks are, where they are likely to be found and what should be done if someone is bitten. It also teaches them about protecting pets against ticks. Ages 11-16

Our PowerPoint slide show provides key information to equip pupils with knowledge to protect themselves against tick bites, and to recognise early signs of infection. Download our Top 10 Tick Facts, Ray’s top 10 tips, and information leaflet for pupils to print and take home.
